Ever heard of needle rolling? It’s one of those products that caught my attention a few years ago. If you have acne scars, holes, hyper pigmentation, it may be a thing for you! It’s definitely not for everyone as it can be an extreme treatment. To some, doing it at home may be risky and can be more harm than not. Before jumping on to this skin trend bandwagon, I would do your research first! I say it’s risky to some degree because it uses needles on your skin, so proceed with caution. If you do decide to try this, try it with a trusted brand. I used Banish Scars as they are a trusted brand. They have tons of videos and tutorials on Instagram to show you guys how it works. Their roller is kept in a sanitized container and to be disposed after a few uses.
For reference, my scars are not extremely deep to begin with. I suffered from cystic hormonal acne on both my cheeks. After the acne went away, they left horrible but shallow red pitted scars. My experience with using Banish, I didn’t see results right away. It’s something you have to continue using, take some time, dedication and good hygiene. I can’t stress this enough! This is also not a treatment I do every day. I kept going with this for 6 weeks and feel that my scars haven’t completely disappeared but they are definitely lighter. Now aside from the roller, my favourite product from this package is the serum that’s applied after the needle part. It makes my skin so taute and soft!
Now lets talk about masks! If the needle treatment isn’t for you, you still need to try the Banish Scars masks! If you know me, you know I love a good mask. Here are two from the Banish Scars line you must try!
The Pumpkin Enzyme Masque This one is a two in one as it also exfoliates! It leaves my skin tingle after use. This one is also used before the roller.
The Activated Charcoal and Clay Masque This one is more of a cleansing mask. It draws out all impurities. You can use this once or twice a week depending on your skin.
These products were sent to me, however all my opinions are my own.
