Each and everyone of you have tried a face mask of some sort once in your life or use it on a daily/weekly basis. Not every mask in the market will work for everyone and I’m sure you’ve used a face mask back in the day that didn’t leave you impressed. It’s so different now and you’re definitely missing out if you’re not using one. There’s so many innovations now from the basic, peel offs, water based, sleep on mask, sheet masks, and barrier forming masks. The choices are unlimited and all have different purposes. I believe there’s not one mask that does it all so you really have to know what it is you want the mask to do. Some will moisturize, brighten, tighten, clean, tone etc. I could list a whole bunch on here but just sharing a few of the ones I feel is a must try!
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask | I’ve had this mask for quite some time now and haven’t even put a dent on it yet. There’s many uses for this that you can look up on Pinterest. I use this for days when I break out with those nasty red zits. You can either add apple cider vinegar to it or just plain water. The apple cider vinegar is strong and actually made it feel like it was sucking out all the dirt from my face. Crazy strong and love it! If you want that clean feel, this is it!
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask | LOVE this one. I got a little sample size and now actually wanting the full size. This is an overnight treatment to hydrate your skin. You apply it after your night skin routine and leave it on till morning. Laneige overall is an amazing brand in my opinion. It’s a Korean Line and love everything they came out with!
Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Reparing Mask | Perfect for the dry winter days. I am all about moisturizing and hydrating my skin. The weather in Alberta just sucks the living life out of my skin so this is a must. The only thing I don’t like is the scent. It smells like an actual raspberry yogurt (some people love it) but I prefer no scent or something citrus-y when it comes to skin care products.
Fresh Rose Face Mask | This is very similar to the Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Mask because of the moisturizing factor. I am really into hydrating and moisturizing my skin, can you tell? I really didn’t expect much with this one. It was cooling, nice smelling like most masks, but after rinsing it off, my skin felt soft and brightened it up a bit.
Ole Henricksen Power Bright | This one is a three step skin care item. Step 1 is actually the only mask but because it was so good, I had to add it on here. You apply the first step for 5-10 minutes, massage it in your face, rinse clean. Step 2 is the Vitamin C Concentrate. Apply it on to the skin and leave on for 2-3 minutes and without rinsing you move on to Step 3. This will make your skin glow. Apply it on top of the Vitamin C Concentrate and voila. You will actually feel a tingling sensation as time passes. Some will dampen off the excess products, but I just patted my face with a damp towel.
Dermal Sheet Masks | Leaving the best for last. I am obsessed with Sheet masks. This brand is the one that I’ve been using lately and I am hooked. There’s a variety of them and I like to mix it up depending on what I feel my skin needs. Most of them contain Vitamin E and collagen, both helping to keep your tired skin alive and healthy. I even apply the remaining product in the package if it doesn’t soak up into the sheet. Gotta get every bit of it, it’s that good. If you are from Edmonton, you can find these at a TNT store.
