What the heck is the PMD? In short form, it’s basically a tool that vacuums and exfoliates away dead skill cells on the surface of your skin. It promises smoother brighter skin, reduce dark spots, get rid of small fine lines and acne scars. I will warn you that this tool is pretty addicting. I have to tell myself that I can’t use this everyday. I have been using it once a week for 2 months now and just started seeing a slight difference on some of my acne scars.
You have probably seen this microdermabrasion treatment being offered at spas and can go anywhere from $100+. I had it done a few times a few years ago and I loved it. My wallet…not so much. I will say that the PMD is the same, if not better than the professional treatment at spas. Just like most things with skin care, you have to be consistent in treatments and use it regularly to see any results. With this being done in the comfort of your own home, you can use it regularly and will see the results faster.
It’s super easy to use. This one is not battery operated and not mad about it. Make sure your skin is dry when using this device. Attach the desired disc (goes from ultra sensitive to very coarse disc) and attach to the plastic top. Plug the device in, power on and pass through the skin without going over the same area more than once. Make sure that you also pull your skin tight and move it upwards. Do this for 12 weeks and you will see a difference. Make sure to watch the video on their website before attempting your first treatment. The PMD is a serious skin care tool and they encourage this video beforehand.
