With new products out every day it’s always fun to see what I’ll actually use up. It feels oddly liberating to recycle product empties. I mean, who doesn’t want to see what’s in other peoples bathrooms? Let’s jump right into it!
Lancome Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover – I received this generously sized sample and was so excited as I heard so many good things about it. This is perfect to take off eye makeup and you don’t have to scrub so much around your eyes. One cotton pad is enough to remove my eye makeup and a little goes a long way. It’s so gentle and it efficiently removes even the most stubborn waterproof mascaras or eyeliners.
Kiehls Ultra Moisturizer – An absolute favourite and holy grail! I’m now on my second pot and don’t see myself switching to a different moisturizer any time soon. My skin is slightly drier in the winter time with an oilier t-zone in the summer. It plumps up my skin in seconds and doesn’t leave any residue like some moisturizers do.
St. Tropez Wash Off Instant Glow Body Lotion – This is perfect for someone who wants a quick boost of colour for the day/night. It’s not worth the effort applying to the whole body. I just apply it on my bare skin that my clothes don’t cover on a night out. You also have to watch out for humid weather as the product may streak or come off. The colour is natural looking (not orange) and on me, it made me have that healthy glow.
Kiehls Calendula Toner – Loved the way it made my skin feel. It doesn’t irritate my skin or dry it out like most toners do. I wanted to try this toner for the amazing benefits that Calendula has to offer. It calms the skin and eliminates and redness. I remember using this when I tweezed my eyebrows and my skin around it started forming red spots and mild pimples. I applied this product on my skin and the redness disappeared. Though, I don’t see any long term benefits from using it so probably not going to be a repurchase.
Primal Paste Deodorant – Tried so many natural deodorants and not one is as effective as this one. As much as possible, I want to use products that don’t have toxins and ingredients I can’t pronounce. FINALLY a natural deodorant that works as well as a chemical one. It works so well that I can go nearly all day without reapplying. I do find myself clammy under my arms sometimes but it doesn’t smell at all. The application takes a bit of getting use to and probably going to try the stick version next time.
Caudalie Cleansing Oil- I recently did a review on this here and still feel the same way about it. I would definitely repurchase! It doesn’t dry out my skin, melts my make up and deeply cleanses. What more can you want from a Cleansing Oil?
BioOil – I started using this for my pregnant belly. I use coconut oil during the night and use this during the day as it’s the only scent that doesn’t make me nauseous. I love how it glides on easily and doesn’t make your skin greasy or sticky after application. As far as its claim to get rid of scars and stretch marks, I haven’t noticed anything. I don’t have any stretch marks yet but have been applying it on my belly button piercing scar from years ago and it doesn’t seem to be doing any miracles on it. I’ll keep using it for its moisturizing benefits!
